Hirofumi Okamoto

He is the band's musical director. Starting out in jazz, he has been active in various genres. In 1998, he made his CD debut with "Jawango," produced by Ponta Shuichi Murakami (drums). In 2008, he participated in Rie Akagi's (flute) Puerto Rico tour.

In 2012, he participated in Hirofumi Bamba's "Made in Kyoto" as an arranger and guitarist. Since his debut, he has been creating his own original works, releasing five albums under "Okamoto Island." Among them, "Journey" reached number one on Amazon's Japan jazz chart.

He was trained in 528Hz music by ACOON HIBINO and has collaborated with him on "528 Seasons" and "Yakushiji Oto's Prescription Concert." In recent years, he has served as engineer and music director for ACOON HIBINO's "iNORI," released by Teichiku Entertainment.

He is expanding his diversified activities to include arranging for orchestras and wind bands.

The producer of this band. Japan's only 528Hz composer and pianist who creates "functional music" that has never been heard before.

In January 2015, he made his major debut with the full album "Adjusting the Mind and Body - The Frequency of Love 528Hz" from Teichiku Entertainment. In July of the same year, he released his second full album "A Prescription of Sound to Adjust the Autonomic Nerve - The Frequency of Love 528Hz". It became a record-breaking hit in the music industry, where CD sales are said to be in a slump, and since then, he has continued to release numerous works as a leader.

He composed 528Hz from a music theory and medical perspective. His method was highly praised and he won the Japan Record Award for Planning. His activities are spreading socially, such as the "Listen to Prescription" distribution service using the functional sound 528Hz and spatial direction with "528hz Sound Installation". He was appointed as the Kameoka Tourism PR Ambassador in Kyoto.

They are based in Kameoka Moon Studio.

Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Faculty of Music, majoring in violin.

He began playing the violin at the age of three under the guidance of his father, who was the concertmaster of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, and at the age of six he gave a successful performance in a concerto at the National Summer Concert hosted by the Japan String Directors Association.

After graduating from university, he was exposed to various genres of music, including Irish and pop, in addition to classical music, and developed his own unique playing style.

He has participated in recordings and live tours with numerous artists.

While still in school, he formed the unit "Lalo" with pianist Chihaya Iwasaki, who was his classmate, and released five original CDs. He also provided songs for Panasonic TV commercials and Suzuki automobile music videos.

Additionally, ACOON HIBINO, who made her major debut with Teichiku Entertainment, won the Planning Award at the 57th Japan Record Awards for her CD produced as part of the Love Frequency 528hz project (in which she contributed three solo tracks and two supporting tracks).

He was active as a Latin percussionist in the 1980s.

He started playing the steel pan in the 1990s and is currently a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He has released 14 CDs, including those with his own band and as a solo artist.

From his duet album with guitarist Kotaro Oshio, his songs have been used as the theme song for MBS Radio's "Konnichiwa Kon-chan" and background music for NHK TV, among other things. The cable broadcasting channel Pan Channel has a library of about 400 songs.

In 1999 and 2012, he performed in approximately 700 stages in the Osaka productions of Shiki Theatre Company's "The Lion King." In 2015, he participated in the 1st Steel Pan World Championships (Trinidad and Tobago) as a member of the Japanese national team, where he placed 9th.

He performed the theme song for the 2011 NHK drama series "Ranman." He is not only involved in the performance of music, but is also active in a wide range of fields, including performing with the various bands he presides over, as well as on RKC Kochi Broadcasting's television and radio programs.

Tomoya Uesaka (Tabla)
Tomoya Uesaka

While attending university, he honed his tabla skills in Kolkata, eastern India.

He studied tabla under Aditya Kalyanpur and Amit Kavthekar of the Punjabi school.

He later became interested in Middle Eastern music and began studying Arabic percussion under Yshai Afterman in 2018.

After graduating from university, he participated in recordings and live performances by numerous artists.

In 2012, he was invited to the Indian dance festival "When Chinese Meets Indian Music" in Taipei.

In 2013, he performed with Gonzalez Mikami at the Indian music festival "Dhuwani Festival" in Kobe.

In 2018, he released an album as Shinji Nozaki and Vaataavaran, and was featured on Radio Sakamoto due to the uniqueness of his music.

Dedication performance at Kamigamo Shrine in 2022.

He devotes his days to thinking about how to spread the essence of Indian music in a wide range of venues, from local live music venues to Noh stages.

Kenji Shimada (bass)

Due to circumstances, he joined Blue Nile, replacing Kazuo Ishida (bass), who had left the band.

Born in Shiga Prefecture, he received a scholarship to enter Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1993. In 1996, he received the John Neves Memorial Scholarship from Berklee College of Music.

Graduated from Berklee in August 1997 and returned to Japan. Appeared on NHK Radio Session 99' as a member of the Miyamoto Takana (pf) Trio. Released albums as leader: "Time Emit/Time Emit" (September 2004), "Sanpo Michi" (October 2006) with Narukawa Shuji (g), "Gyps/Gyps" (April 2019) from Audio Fab Record, and "Gyps /Continues" (April 2023) from GYPS MUSIC. Currently active in Kansai live performances and recording.

He has played in the regular bands of Maya (Vo), Akira Matsuo (Ds), Tetsuro Kawashima (Sax), Tomonao Hara (tp), Masahiko Kitahara (tb), Naoko Terai (vin), Ryuriku Miyazaki (sax), Yuzo Kataoka (tb), and Kei Hirai (ds). He has also performed with Wycliffe Gordon (tb), Bobby Shew (tp), Tokiko Kato (vo), and Emi Fujita (vo). He is currently active in groups such as his own band "GYPS", Mr Jazz QUARTET, and Kentaro Kihara (Pf) & the Very Mary Orchestra.

Jazz bassist. Head of Kyoto Music and Arts Advisory. Also well versed in classical music, he runs a small hall called "I Got Salon" in Kitaoji, Kyoto, with the aim of nurturing young musicians and introducing first-class performers to Kyoto.
